Abstracts

Because of space limitations, it is recommended to submit your abstract and registration as soon as possible. If the workshop gets oversubscribed, priority will be given to applicants who submitted an abstract. Twelve of the submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during the plenary sessions. All other accepted abstracts (one per participant) are allocated to poster presentations. Notification of abstract acceptance will be e-mailed by the end of January 2012. Abstracts do not appear online but will be made available to all participants during the workshop in the form of an abstract book.

Abstract submission and registration opens November 15, 2011
Submission deadline: January 27, 2012

Abstracts may be submitted under the following categories:

- Development of the heart
- Mechanotransduction and sarcomere signaling
- Cardiac ion channels on the move
- From complex signal regulation towards therapy
- Metabolic plasticity of the healthy and diseased heart
- Cardiac repair and regeneration
- Other topics

Abstracts selected for poster presentation:

All posters will be displayed for the whole duration of the workshop and you will have the opportunity to discuss your work with colleagues during the poster sessions on Monday and Wednesday as well as coffee/tea breaks. The poster size is portrait A0 and should not exceed 90 cm wide x 120 cm high.

Abstracts selected for oral presentation:

Your talk should be no longer than 20 min and is followed by 10 min of discussion.

Instructions

• The submitting author must be the presenting author
• Download the abstract form here
• Use Arial 12, including bold and italic as detailed on the abstract form
• Do not change paragraph format, line spacing and page margin settings of the form
• Title, authors, affiliation and abstract must all together not exceed one A4 page
• The abstract itself must not exceed 350 words
• Save your abstract under a filename that begins with your last name
• Submit the abstract in Microsoft Word format
• Please note that abstracts that do not fulfill these format rules will be rejected
• Guidelines for presentation will be provided to authors of accepted abstracts
